We opened plastic molds of the connectors, sockets, plugs and receptacles. 18AWG pure copper quality wires are employed to manufacture these cables. We can always make the cables with excellent connectivity and durability.
The J1939 female connector is with a locking ring. Rotating the locking ring after plugging assures that the connector won’t come unplugged accidentally.
The end of Deutsch 9 Pin female and male plugs can be overmolded or not, according to your needs. If the ends are overmolded, the cables are more sturdy and durable. If not overmolded, the price can be lower because the raw material and labour cost is saved.

The Deutsch 9 Pin female connector of this cable is Type 2, so its Pin F is with smalller diameter as Pin C and Pin J. Type 2 J1939 female connectors can be inserted into Type 1 or Type 2 J1939 male receptacles.
One of the J1939 male receptacles is threaded jamnut mount style common on Paccar trucks (Kenworth, Peterbilt, Western Star).
Pin assignment or pinout
In most cases, all 9 pins of the J1939 male and female connectors are connected, so there are 9 wires of 18AWG in the cable. If there is no need for all 9 pins to be connected, the price can be lower because the raw material and labour cost can be lower.

Application
There is only one J1939 diagnostic port in a truck. If you want to connect two devices with J1939 port to the truck at the same time, this Deutsch 9 Pin J1939 Split Y Cable is needed. It can connect ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices, such as Cummins ZED, Garmin eLog or KeepTruckin ELD), diagnostic devices or scanners or fault code readers to the truck.
This Deutsch 9 Pin J1939 Split Y Cable allows port relocation or connection of multiple devices. This Y cable is for heavy duty commercial vehicles (such as some Freightliner Cascadias and others) that have the J1939 9 pin diagnostic port adjacent to the clutch pedal or in some other inconvenient location. It is also for commercial vehicles that require multiple devices be connected to the J1939 9 pin diagnostic port. This Y cable splits the J1939 diagnostic port, allowing one J1939 port at the original location and the other connected to an ELD or another device which has a J1939 port.
This cable can be used in most diesel trucks such as Kenworth, International, Freightliner, Isuzu, Hino, Mack, Peterbilt, Oshkosh, Sterling, Volvo, Workhorse, Navist and Western Star.
